Logging Into UAOnline:

  1. Go to http://uaonline.alaska.edu.
  2. Click on the Login to Secured Area (students, staff, & faculty) link.
  3. Enter your User ID.
    • Your User ID will be your 8-digit Student ID or Employee ID.
    • If you forget your ID, you can look it up here.
    • For additional assistance, employees can contact their campus Human Resources office; Fairbanks employees should contact the OIT Support Center. Students can contact their campus Enrollment Services, Registrar, or Admissions office. Refer to the contact information at the top-left of this page.
  4. Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number).
    • When you sign on to the web for the first time, you will be asked to change your PIN
    • Your Student PIN (if you are not an employee) is 6 characters and is originally set to your date of birth (MMDDYY).
    • If you are an employee, you should receive your PIN in the mail shortly after you begin working at the University
    • PINs must be six characters, are case-sensitive, and can be alphanumeric, including spaces and punctuation.
    • Date of birth is not accepted as a new PIN.
    • Resetting your PIN is required to ensure added security to accessibility of your account information.
    • For your privacy and security, please do not share your PIN or security information with anyone.
  5. Click the Login button.
  6. The first time you login to UAOnline, you will also be asked to create a security question and answer that will assist you in the future if you forget your PIN.
  7. Due to the sensitive nature of the information contained on these pages, persons using shared workstations are required to log off and exit the browser when using UAOnline.

Forgot Your PIN?

  1. Go to http://uaonline.alaska.edu
  2. Click on the Login to Secured Area (students, staff, & faculty) link.
  3. Enter your User ID.
  4. Leave the PIN field blank.
  5. Click the Forgot PIN? button.
  6. You will then be required to answer the security question that you created the first time you logged into UAOnline and to choose a new PIN number to gain access to UAOnline. If you are not prompted with a security question or you do not answer the questions correctly, please refer to the following contact information:
    • If you are a Student: Contact your campus Enrollment Services, Registrar, or Admissions office. Refer to the contact information at the top-left of this page.
    • If you are an Employee (including student employees): UAF and Statewide employees should contact the OIT Support Center; all other employees should contact their Human Resources office. Refer to the contact information at the top-left of this page.

  1. For navigation and configuration support, contact the your campus Help Desk/Support Center; refer to the contact list at the top-left of this page.
  2. To submit comments or suggestions regarding UAOnline or other web access services, please use the Employee or Student Feedback options available from the main web entry page of UAOnline at http://uaonline.alaska.edu
  3. To update personal information or report inaccurate information on the Student Services, Financial Aid & Account Information pages, contact your local campus Enrollment Services, Registrar, or Admissions office; refer to te contact information at the top-left of this page.
  4. To update personal information or report inaccurate information on the Employee Services pages, individuals may contact their local campus Human Resources office; refer to the contact information at the top-left of this page.

  • Although other browsers and versions may work, the recommended browsers for UAOnline are:
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x
    • Netscape 7.0x
    • Firefox 1.x or higher
    • Safari 1.2 or higher
  • All employees and students of the University of Alaska System will have the ability to access their personal information via the UAOnline site.
  • Employee web information may be viewed, but not updated, via the web at this time. Instructions on updating employee information are available on pages throughout UAOnline.
  • Many links within the UAOnline lead to other University and non-University sites. Use the "BACK" button in you web browser to return to the UAOnline Pages
