The University of Alaska provides Ethernet access to students, faculty, and staff on campus. All dorm rooms have Ethernet access, as well as the majority of offices on campus. In addition, OIT offers wireless Ethernet in various locations on campus, as well as walk-up ports.
For information on how to set up Ethernet in your dorm room, download and read Internet in the Residence Halls.
If you would like to access University networks from off-campus, read the VPN Installation Instructions
Using the internet from campus requires you to follow certain rules; just as you would expect with any Internet Service Provider.
