HP Service Manager Upgrade

HP Service Manager Operators:

HP Service Manager will be unavailable Sunday morning, 15 July from 6am-10am for an application upgrade.  Reference HPSM outage activity notice for 15 July.

What you need to before 15 July:

Windows Client Users:

Upgrade to the new version via advertised program or manual install.  OIT Desktop Support will be advertising this program to run on your windows desktop beginning 12 July.  Upgrading will uninstall the old version and install the new version.  After the upgrade you will not see any changes to the windows client.  If you do not upgrade your client before the upgrade you will need to do so before you can access the service.

If for any reason you have difficulty receiving the advertised program or if you want to install the client manually you can install either the 32 or 64 bit client by selecting the appropriate link below.

32 bit version
64 bit version

Web Client Users:

Nothing is required of you prior to the upgrade.  After the upgrade on 15 July, those who use the web client will see slight changes to the color scheme and layout.  There is no increase or decrease in functionality but the visual changes are a big improvement.  Supported browsers continue to be  IE 7.x / 8.x Firefox 3.x and higher.  As with the current web client, Safari and Google Chrome are used by many operators with no major issues reported.

Please call the OIT Support Center if you have any questions.
