OIT Email Support: Setting a Vacation Message for Your UA Statewide Email

The default webmail layout is Euphoria. For the following documentation, we will be using the Euphoria layout. If you have set a custom layout, you can choose to temporarily use the default layout when logging in. Before clicking the Enter button to login, set the Layout pull down menu to Euphoria.

Setting Up a Vacation Message for Your UA Statewide Email

  1. Login into webmail.
  2. Click on the Rules (Filters) button, fourth button from the left
  3. In the middle of the page is the Vacation Message (Disabled) section. The status of the Vacation Message is displayed in the parentheses.
  4. In the Message Text field, enter the message that you want to be sent as an automatic reply to any email you receive while away.
  5. Click on the Enable Vacation Message button.
  6. Finally click on the Clear Replied Address List button. Your Vacation Message will only be sent to an email address once. Clearing the replied address list will make sure that anyone who emails you will receive your message at least once.
