A vast amount of information exist on the internet regarding copyright laws and lots of people are confused about acceptable use policies. Ironically, survey's have revealed students at colleges and universities know about illegal downloading of music and find it acceptable to break the law anyway. In March of 2006, Richmond University School of Law, completed a File-Sharing survey and found that 34% of college students are illegally downloading music from peer-to-peer file sharing networks. See the copyright survey results here. Ironically, 67% of the respondents don't care much that they're downloading music illegally and 54% stated they weren't sure whether illegal downloads were against their college or university policies.
