Description

What is OIT changing? OIT is providing an upgrade for Microsoft Office 2010 to Office 2013 for UAF Faculty and Staff.
How do I upgrade?  You decide when you are ready to make the change to Microsoft Office 2013.  The upgrade process may take as long as 2 hours to complete.  You will be able to use your computer during the upgrade, however you will not be able to use Microsoft Office during the upgrade.
Where can I go for more information?  Please contact the OIT Support Center if you have questions or concerns.  Opportunities to attend Microsoft Office 2013 training are listed on the OIT Training Calendar.

Resolution

How to start the Microsoft Office Upgrade?  Open Software Center on your computer, select Microsoft Office Professional 2013, and click Install.

Affected customers

If you are a UAF Staff or Faculty member using a Windows computer on the UA Domain your computer will be given the option to upgrade or install Microsoft Office 2013.

Please note

I’m not seeing the available upgrade?  Please allow up to one full day from April 9th to ensure your computer has had time to check-in over the network and report an upgrade is available.  Also, your computer must be on the UA Domain for it to receive “New software is available” notifications.  If you know your computer is on the UA Domain and has had time to check in, but you are still not seeing the available upgrade, please contact the OIT Support center.
