Separate CAS configuration from CAS execution  

Short description

Promotion of changes to allow distribution of uniform cas.war file 


The scope of this change briefly affects all SSO UAOnline users. Those wishing to log in to UAOnline will receive a message indicating UAOnline SSO is unavailable.  Those already logged in will see their sessions disconnected.

stop tomcat - less than 1 minute
copy cas.war to /fs/cas/docbase - less than 1 minute
start tomcat - less than 1 minute
Verify logs are recording as expted - 5 minutes
Verify CAS functionality for UAOnline by logging into my account - 1 minute


Upgrades to CAS will be facilitiated by using maven overlays of new CAS source.  UA unique files are not overwritten by newer versions of CAS.


The external location of the file ensures that the cas.war will be identifical for all CAS instances.

Affected customers

All UAOnline SSO Customers using the service at the time of the reboot.
