MyUA: Student Centric Services

Students attending the University of Alaska have seen dramatic changes in the way in which they access information and support services. Through UAonline, students can review academic records, order transcripts, view financial aid information, and register for classes. Making such information and services available is just one step in redefining the relationship between the student and the university.  MyUA would build upon this relationship by making an even wider range of services available to students throughout the University of Alaska system.

Students have told us, among other things, that they want a web environment that provides them a single access point to view course information, email faculty, obtain advising information, order books, and access library information. MyUA will meet these requirements  and more in an environment that the student can customize to his or her own interests and needs. Although MyUA will eventually provide university-wide access and services for faculty, administrators, researches, alumni, and virtually every member of the university community, the university’s initial focus will be on the student – further highlighting our commitment to student access and overall academic success.

MyUA will be a visible and functional  demonstration of our philosophy that  places the student at the center of what we do each and every day.
