Tom Moyer, myUA project manager
Amber Brubaker, UAA information project analyst

Congratulations to Joshua and his wife on the birth of their baby girl Tuesday morning!

Heather introduced Tom Moyer who discussed the announcements procedures document Heather distributed to the group earlier in the week. He said it is a rough draft and that each MAU needs to determine who approves announcements and who “pushes the button” to distribute them. The draft is loosely based on existing e-mail policies, and leverages other existing policies and procedures. Tom also thanked all the pilot participants.

Amber Brubaker, UAA’s project information analyst, was also introduced to the group. Heather’s counterpart at UAA, Amber started this week; the UAS portal person is John French.

   Pilot update

Tom said 110+ pilot participants have logged in so far. He said the pilot is going well. Some difficulty has been reported getting logged in, but they are mostly easily resolved issues. Call the help desk with problems logging in.

          Heather demo’ed the pilot.

Ilana mentioned that the portal needs dynamic content to be most effective. She suggested that the rollout of the portal be delayed until dynamic content is available in portal channels. If there is a shortage of useful content the first time people log in, will people go back?

Heather encouraged all pilot participants to log in and use the feedback form to provide input. Tom suggested including name and e-mail when providing feedback.

      Communication plan updates

Heather will send around the SW help document: 22 pages “Using myUA”.

Gretchen reported that a blurb on myUA has been inserted into the class schedule, which will be delivered April 4; and in the catalog, due later in April. She also sent the same blurb to the CRA folks to include in the CRA schedule.

      Groups and announcements procedures

Heather suggested the group review the draft document Tom has put together and come to the next meeting prepared to discuss.

      Next meeting
