MyUA Project team interviewed portal project staff at other
universities to determine where
their portal charge came from, to find out which features are offered, how
student’s opinions were solicited, what software/hardware is used and factors
that influenced decisions, composition of steering committee, lessons learned,
how success is measured, and more.

California
Polytechnic Institute. As of May, 2003,
Cal Poly has Banner and has implemented uPortal.
Case Western
Reserve University. As of May
2003, CWRU has a home grown student information system and has deployed Oracle
9iAS Portal.

Indiana University. As of April
2003, IU has a home grown student information system and has deployed uPortal.
University of Hawaii. As of May 2003, UH has SCT’s Banner and is
implementing SCT’s Luminis Campus Pipeline Portal.

System of Georgia. As of April,
2003, UGA has 34 schools, all using SCT’s Banner. With the exception of the University of Georgia
Athens, which uses Novell’s portal, SCT’s
