Resilient Communities: Food Security, Communication and Health in a Changing North

Understanding how indigenous and rural communities can be resilient in the face of complex challenges is the major objective of this theme.  Food, culture, language, and health are interconnected dynamics in the lives of many of Alaska’s residents.  Our theme researches how climatic shifts, increasing globalization, and socio-political changes affect and are affected by Northern peoples and interests.
