Alaska Statewide High School Science Symposium at the University of Alaska Fairbanks supports high school students from around the state who have conducted scientific research. Students work with scientists in their field of interest, conduct valid research experiments and present their results in a scientific setting. In 2008, International Polar Year will be a new research  and session category.
