As the chief human resources officer for the University of Alaska System, Beth is responsible for ensuring that human resources programs and services serve the institution's mission. This is accomplished through a staff who provide expert services in benefits, compensation, development and training, labor and employee relations, and recruitment and staffing. She is the university officer responsible for the interpretation of human resources policy and regulation. In addition, she assists the Board of Regents and the president in the recruitment and selection of university officers and performs other duties as prescribed by the president.
