System Governance

Who's Who

The Coalition is made up of representatives from the 11 member campuses.  These representatives are typically the Presidents of their respective campuses.  The Coalition Speaker may or may not be the representative from his or her campus.

Shauna Thornton

Coalition Speaker

Shauna Thornton has been a member of the KRC Student Union for several years, and a member of the Coalition of Student Leaders for the past two years. She successfully led the KRCSU to rally against cuts to the campus budget saving the campus hundreds of thousands of dollars, and was one of the leaders in Juneau for need based financial aid.

Jarmyn Kramlich

Speaker Pro Tempore, Students of UAS - Juneau

This is my second year as the President of the United Students of the University of Alaska Southeast Juneau Campus (USUAS-JC), and I was elected in the Fall of 2012 as the  Speaker  p.t. for the Coalition of Student Leaders.  I grew up in Pullman, Washington and decided to come to UAS because of its natural beauty. This is my third  year at the UAS Juneau campus. I am working towards achieving a Bachelor of Arts and majoring in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Political Science, while my secondary concentrations are in Psychology and Sociology. I enjoy hanging out with friends and listening to music. I encourage any student from any campus to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns regarding the University of Alaska.
