BlackBerry Configuration

It is important to note that there is a separate password you need to use; different than the Authserv password used to access Google webmail. This password must be configured prior to using your Google email in an email client. This password is known as the "Google-side Password'.

To configure your BlackBerry for use with Google Mail, follow these steps:
  1. Point your browser to "http://m.google.com"


    Go to http://m.google.com
  2. Download Google Mobile App


    Download Google Mobile Apps
  3. Click Download


    Click Download
  4. Once the download finishes, select the Google Mobile App from the Applications menu

  5. Accept the Terms of Service

  6. Scroll up to highlight GMail, and click on it to install the GMail Application
    You can repeat this process to install the other Google Applications as well

  7. Enter your full email address: uausername@alaska.edu and your Google-side Password

  8. You're done! You can access the GMail application directly from your BlackBerry applications screen.


    Now you can access your email
