For New Students: Visit ELMO to obtain your UA username, set up your password, and then come back to Google Apps @ UA to login to your email account. Your account is usually created within 72 hours of enrolling in a course. After 72 hours, if you have enrolled and still cannot set up your account, it is likely that your registration and/or enrollments have not yet been processed. You may need to contact the UAF Office of the Registrar to confirm that your registration and course enrollments have been entered into the system properly.
 

For New Staff/Faculty:  Visit ELMO to obtain your UA username, set up your password, and then come back to Google Apps @ UA to login to your email account. Your account is dependent upon active employment in the system. If you are unable to login, it is likely that your contract date may not start until later. Your account will be activated some time between the first work date of your contract, and the end of your first pay period.
 

Returning UAF Students: Between now and August 30, 2009, all active UAF student email accounts will be migrated to Google Apps @ UA. If you are currently  unable to login to your SquirrelMail account, likely your account has been moved to Google Apps @ UA.  To login to your new Google Apps @ UA account, visit google.alaska.edu. Use your UA Username and password (the same credentials used to access Blackboard) to login.  Forgot your UA Username and password? Visit ELMO.
 

Current UAF Faculty and Staff: All active UAF faculty and staff SquirrelMail accounts will be migrated to Google Apps @ UA between now and December 31, 2009. Any faculty or staff email address currently ending in @uaf.edu will be affected by this change.
 

Current SquirrelMail users are asked to sign up for their new Google Apps @ UA account as soon as possible— the sooner the better.  During this transfer, any mail that is currently stored in one’s SquirrelMail account will be automatically be transferred into the new Google Apps @ UA account. To begin this transfer, fill out the Google Apps @ UA sign-up form. Within 48 business hours you should be notified via SquirrelMail that your new Google Apps @ UA account is ready.
