They release a quarterly newsletter to communicate implementation activities in support of the Alaska Maritime Workforce Development Plan. Presentations in Juneau, February 2015

On February 16, 2015, members of the Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) for the Alaska Maritime Workforce Development Plan presented an update to over 50 people, including representatives, at a Lunch and Learn session.The video is available on Gavel Alaska and you can click here to view the presentation slides.

The following day, on February 17th, members of the IAC also presented to the House Fisheries Committee and the Senate Labor & Commerce Committee. The House video and Senate video are also available on Gavel Alaska.

Presentation to House Fisheries Special Committee, January 2013

On January 31, 2013, FSMI Industry and University representatives presented an update of the FSMI's work on building a collaborative statewide Workforce Development Plan to the Alaska House of Representatives, House Special Committee on Fisheries. On February 9, 2012, Michael Castellini, Dean, School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, Fred Villa, Associate Vice President for UA Statewide Workforce Programs, Office of Academic Affairs and Gunnar Knapp, Professor Economics, UAA – Institute of Social of Economic Research presented an update on the University of Alaska Fisheries, Seafood Maritime Initiative to the Alaska House of Representatives, House Special Committee on Fisheries.
