The 2009 Statewide Staff Campaign Kick Off event was held on May 11th, 2009. This year’s participation goal has been set at 67%. The campaign has truly been a remarkable success in the past years. In 2008, the Statewide Staff exceeded the goal of 65% by reaching an all time high of 67% participation.

Staff at the University of Alaska Statewide offices once again have exceeded everyone’s expectations. Over 70 percent of the UA Staff made charitable contributions to benefit students and programs at campuses around the State. This year’s campaign was the most successful ever.

University of Alaska Foundation Elects Officers and New Trustees

The University of Alaska Foundation Board of Trustees elected Mike Felix as board chair and Jo Michalski as vice chair at the board's annual meeting Nov. 18 in Fairbanks. Felix is president of AT &T Alaska and Michalski is owner and president of Portfolio and Classic Woman, a woman's clothing store. Both are from Anchorage. The leadership terms are for the coming year.
