The scholarship application deadline is February 16, and financial aid offices start packaging awards
around March 1 of each year. You’ll be able to find out this spring how much you’re eligible for, and will
be able to make better plans for your next year in college.

Filing early also gives you and the financial aid office to work together if there are any problems or if you
have to supply additional documentation.

Have you or your parents not filed 2008 taxes yet? NO PROBLEM! You can complete the FAFSA with
estimated tax info, and update it after you file with the IRS.

Everyone who submits a FAFSA by February 28 will be entered in a drawing to win one of 100 cool 1GB jump drives.
