What is the FAFSA
It’s the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and it helps determine your need for assistance in
paying for college. It opens up a world of funding options including grants, low‐cost
federal loans, campusbased aid and scholarships. http://studentaid.ed.gov
In addition to federal and institutional funds, students in Alaska have additional funding opportunities through the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
What’s this FRENZY all about?
The Frenzy is a series of financial aid workshops and activities to be held in February across the UA system. Frenzy events inform students of the aid options for which they may qualify and encourage them to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the end of February.
AND if you apply by February 28, you’ll automatically be in the drawing for one of 100 cool 1GB jump drives.
