  By now you have probably heard the word FAFSA a hundred times. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You know that in order to qualify for financial aid you have to fill it out, but do you know how easy it really is? Once you have your paperwork handy, how long do you plan on spending filling out the FAFSA?

  Many students have jobs in college. Working helps you earn money and can give you great experience. If you are interested in working as a student, then check out the jobs open to students at your campus. You can work and attend classes all in the same place. Student jobs are available in many different career fields, so you can also get experience towards your degree. What kind of student job is considered financial aid?  
  1 When you sign up for a work study program.  
  2 When you work in exchange for room and board or free tuition.  
  3 When you employer awards you with a scholarship or grant.  
  4 None, student jobs are not considered financial aid.  
   
  Applying for Financial Aid is a lot easier than you would think, but you want to be sure you are on track so you do not miss out on any financial aid opportunities. Do you know which of the following are required to apply for financial aid?

  Grants and scholarships are a great way to pay for college because the money does not have to be paid back. It is a good idea to apply for grants and scholarships and exhaust any “FREE” money opportunities you have before you decide to take out money that does require repayment, such as a student loan. Many different organizations offer grants to students, such as
