Nuiqsut Workshop

On April 9-10, 2018, Northern Test Case researchers traveled to Nuiqsut to discuss test case research with local leaders, including members of the Native Village of Nuiqsut Tribal Council, the Kuukpik Board of Directors, the City of Nuiqsut Council, and the Kuukpik Subsistence Oversight Panel. The two-day workshop included presentations and rich two-way discussions on many different facets of the study. Participants also explored future research needs of Nuiqsut and opportunities for future collaboration between the community and the University of Alaska.

Posted below are presentations from the workshop as well as three presentations from an earlier workshop held on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus on June 5-6, 2017. (Photo by Jiake Zhou.)
