Phase III Living on Earth workshops
In 2009 and 2011, Alaska EPSCOR brought together Social-Ecological Systems researchers from across the nation for a pair of workshops entitled "Living on Earth I and II," respectively. The events were an opportunity for scientiststo present findings in the SES field and collaborate on new approaches. The success of the two Alaska events has led the EPSCoR program in the U.S. Virgin Islands to schedule a "Living on Earth III" workshop for October 2012. A fourth workshop is scheduled to be hosted by Maine EPSCoR in 2013.
