Karen Perdue Series Producer
Karen Perdue has more than two decades of experience in health and human service in Alaska. More important, she has been helping people almost her whole life.
At present Karen is the Associate Vice-President for Health at the
University of Alaska. Ms. Perdue served as the State's Commissioner of Health and Social Services for seven years. As Commissioner, she led the state's efforts in welfare reform, the development of Denali Kidcare and comprehensive initiatives in primary care and fetal
alcohol syndrome.
A life-long Alaskan, Ms. Perdue has been a Teamster on the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline, a newspaper reporter, as well as an aide and press secretary to US Senator Ted Stevens. In 2000 she was named by the Alaska Journal of Commerce as one of 25 most powerful Alaskans.

Robert Hannon Executive Producer
KUAC’s Public Affairs Director has been telling stories on radio and television for more than two decades. As a radio reporter he’s covered almost every beat from science to business to health. His productions include the award winning series: "What We Say About Aids" and "The Prejudice Puzzle". Robert has planned, reported and anchored political coverage both locally and statewide. He is currently developing a weekly public affairs program for AlaskaOne televsion. Robert is married and has two children.
