The meeting was a chance for the creators of Alaska Statehood to discuss their legacy and how they felt the upcoming milestones should best be commemorated. The meeting was also a chance for old friends and colleagues to gather and reminisce.
Discussed at the meeting were the plans of the University for the fiftieth anniversary of the Alaska State Constitution, an overview of the university's archives and materials and the course of action for the coming years.
The board will meet again in November of 2004.
On November 16 and 17, 2004 the members of the Creating Alaska Advisory Board met at in Fairbanks to review the progress of the project to date, give their thoughts and perspectives on the best way to commemorate their shared legacies and to be honored by the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce.

On May 17, 2005, the members of the Creating Alaska Advisory Board met at in Anchorage to review the progress of the project to date, give their thoughts and perspectives on the best way to commemorate their shared legacies and to be honored by Commonwealth North. This was the last board meeting before the start of the anniversary commemoration period in November 2005.
