George Happ is the Project Director of Alaska BRIN. He promotes, integrates and develops BRIN. He is also the State Project Director for Alaska EPSCoR. Dr. Happ is a Research Professor with the Institute of Arctic Biology, Department of Biology and Wildlife. He has taught at Catholic University of America, New York University, Colorado State University, and University of Vermont in addition to teaching at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Nora Kelly is the staff liaison with state and federal government representatives. As such she coordinates meetings of the Steering Committee, EAC, and other BRIN Committees, coordinates special conferences, prepares progress and evaluation reports and provides program management assistance to the Administrative and Core programs. In addition to her work at BRIN, she is the Executive Officer for EPSCoR.

Sue Hills is the Director of the Outreach Core and has many of the duties of the Project Coordinator as well. She coordinates "pipeline" activities at all campuses and is responsible for communications such as the newsletters and web sites. She works closely with the Alaska EPSCoR outreach programs to connect their middle and high school programs to the Alaska INBRE undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition to her Alaska INBRE activities, Sue Hills is an affiliate assistant professor in the Institute of Marine Sciences, School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, UAF, where she pursues her interests in marine mammals, fisheries and coastal systems ecology, management, and policy with her graduate students.
Nathan George

Nathan provides fiscal & business support for BRIN operations. He has ten years of business support experience with the UA system, including a year with the UAA Procurement Technical Assistance Center program in Fairbanks, 6 years with the UAF Library team overseeing a $3M procurement budget and all grants, and 3 years in the UAF Chancellor/Provost business office as a Fiscal Officer.
