Important Dates

Student Regent nominees are selected through elections held by UA campus student organizations. Elections must be held by February 20, 2009.

Campus student associations are responsible for forwarding election results to the Board of Regents' Office by March 6, 2009.

The appointment term is June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2011.

Position Requirements

1. be enrolled and remain enrolled as a full-time student
2. carry a cumulative 2.5 G.P.A
3. be a student at the particular campus
4. be a United States citizen
5. be a resident of Alaska
6. be a registered voter in the State of Alask

Documents Needed

1. campus election certification
2. names of candidates in campus election and vote tally
3. letters of recommendation
4. proof of cumulative 2.5 G.P.A.
5. resume or brief personal biography
6. copy of Alaska Driver’s License or other Alaska State I.D.
