1887 -Moved with his family to Parson, Kansas; graduated from high school
1890 -Worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad; moved to Huntington, OR in the spring, where he was employed as car insprector for the Union Pacific Railroad; later went to work for the O.R. and N. Railroad at Portland, OR
1895-1897 -Studied law at the University of Oregon
1898 -Opened law office in Portland, OR
1900 -Came to Nome to practice law
1908 -Married Mrs. Inez Hontoon
1910-1911 -Mayor of Nome
1921-1923 -Member of the territorial house of representatives
1937-1947 -Member of the territorial senate
1939-1948 -Appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Troy and reappointed by Governor Gruening
1948 -Died in Nome at the age of 77
