1858 -Born in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of the Honorable James M. Love of the State Supreme Court Justice
1864-1876 -Educated in the public schools of Otumwa, Iowa
1880 -Graduated from the University of Iowa with a LLB degree
1880-1890 -Practiced law in Huron, SD; for the last five years served as postmaster
1900 -In business in Chicago
1901 -Went to Valdez; assistant auditor of the Valdez-Yukon railroad for several years; engaged in restaurant, meat and produce business with H.T. Whitleys whom also practiced law
1913-1933 -Appointed US Commissioner for Valdez; also served as clerk of the court
1928-1935 -Member of the Board of Regents for the University of Alaska
1933-1935 -Registrar of the US Land Office, with headquarters in Anchorage
1935 -Died in Anchorage at the age of 76
