1883 -Born in Ireland
-Emigrated to Boston
-Graduted from Boston University Law School
Early 1900s -Went to Cordova as an attorney for the Guggeneims' copper interests; served as US Commissioner. Had a son named Edward Jr.
1925-1927 -Member of the Board of Trustees at the Agricultural College and School of Mines
1926 -Moved to Seattle where he made his home at the Arctic Club. He made annual trips to Alaska on behalf of his clients, chief among them being Cap. Austin E. Lathrop. When Lathrop was killed in 1950, Medley was made president of his Lathrop Company, the Healy River Coal Company, and secretary-treasurer of the Tanana Pub. Company and resigned a year later after distributing the stock in accordance with Lathrop's will.
1954 -Died in the Doctors' hospital in Seattle of a heart ailment at the age of 71
