Benefits Open Enrollment

April 15 - May 15, 2013

Welcome to Open Enrollment 2013. Open enrollment is the employee's annual opportunity to make changes to certain benefits for the new plan year, effective July 1, 2013.

There have been several plan changes this year, so be sure to read the material and if there is anything you don't understand, ask questions!

During open enrollment, you can:

Add or opt out of health plan coverage

Choose your new plan option

Enroll eligible family members in your health plan

Add, drop, or change the level of your life insurance or accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage

Enroll or re-enroll in a flexible spending account to pay for day care or health expenses with pre-tax dollars

See if the HSA is right for you

Employees should receive a packet with information regarding open enrollment at their home address, but you don’t need to wait for the mail. All necessary forms and information are also on this site.  For a video presentation regarding the Open Enrollment process, click here.

UAF Staff Council developed a UA Health Plan Medical Benefits Calculator to help employees in planning for open enrollment.  This tool is for estimating purposes only.  If you have any questions about the calculator, please contact the UAF Staff Council Office.
