What happens when I use a non-VSP provider?
The same allowances for exams and glasses apply to non-VSP providers, however VSP cannot guarantee satisfaction or extend the additional discount toward materials or any options that you may choose. When using a non-VSP provider, pay the full amount of the bill and request an itemized copy. The bill needs to show the charges for the eye exam and materials, including lens type. Go to and register using your UA ID number. Once your registration is complete you can click the Out-of-Network Reimbursement link towards the bottom of the menu on the left side of the page. Follow the instructions to submit your claim and mail all pertinent documentation to:
