The
Permanent Placement File (PPF) for Educators is an important step in securing
professional employment and most school districts in Alaska and the Lower 48
require your PPF be on file with the hiring authority prior to securing employment.
Your Permanent Placement File consist of: a personal data form, official transcripts,
summary of coursework, and three original letters of reference.
Students
graduating from an Alaska University can set a PPF free of charge with the Alaska
Teacher Placement office. For students graduating from a university or college
outside of Alaska, there is a $25 initial set up fee. There is a $5 fee for
distribution of the PPF to school districts.
All files are open, you must come to the Alaska Teacher Placement office to
review your Permanent Placement File.

Official Transcripts - sent directly to ATP
from the university or college
#2. ATP Consent Form with original signature
#3. PPF Cover Form
#4. Three (3) PPF Reference Forms
The Reference Form can be saved to your desktop and emailed to your instructors,
supervising teachers, or other education professionals that can attest to your
disposition and teaching ability. All forms must be signed and sent from the
recommending person. Contact ATP to check the status of your file.
