The Permanent Placement File (PPF) for educators is an important step in securing professional employment and most school districts in Alaska and the Lower 48 require your PPF be on file with the hiring authority prior to securing employment. Your Permanent Placement File consist of: a personal data consent form, official transcripts, summary of coursework, and three original letters of reference.

Students graduating from an Alaska University can set a PPF free of charge with the Alaska Teacher Placement office. For students graduating from a university or college outside of Alaska, there is a $25 initial set up fee. There is a $5 fee for distribution of the PPF to school districts.
