The Alaska Teacher Placement Educator Expo and Job Fair is Alaska's
premier education employment event. Teachers, district administrators, principals,
education majors, future teachers, faculty, and education leaders from across
the State will gather to hire educators and share information about working,
living, and teaching in Alaska.
40 to 50 school districts come to Anchorage. It offers district informational
presentations and allows registrants the most exposure to both urban and rural
school districts. This is the first job fair of the season and great for high
demand areas such as, special education, counseling, speech pathology, secondary
math/science, and principals.

Involves 15 to 20 school districts. Many encourage registrants to sign letters
of intent at this job fair, so be prepared. Teaching couples and first year
graduates are encouraged to attend. Rural districts attend this job, as well
urban districts seeking hard to fill positions will attend this job fair.

The June and August Summer Job Fairs will have 20-30 districts in attendance.
At this job fair districts will attempt to fill their remaining vacancies before
the start of school in the fall. Districts will have contracts ready to offer
so do your soul searching before you come and be ready to pack your bags when
you get home. Applicants who posses an Alaska Teaching Certificate have the
best chance of getting multiple offers.
