Mission Statement

The mission of the Information Technology Council is to provide systemwide research, planning, and implementation for information technology to support the instruction, research and service mission of the University of Alaska.

In carrying out its mission, the Information Technology Council will report to the President and Chancellors, and will:
1. Establish information technology standards;
2. Evaluate emerging technologies;
3. Establish a planning process for information technology;
4. Develop implementation plans and projects;
5. Be the primary mechanism for communicating information technology issues, plans and decisions.
