Mike Grahek came to the University of Alaska in October 2007 as chief procurement officer after 18 years at UAF Procurement & Contract Services, where he had been the director since 2003.  He was born in Fairbanks, graduated from Monroe Catholic High School, and received a B.B.A. in Management from UAF.  A Certified Purchasing Manager, he also holds a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University.
