Joe Trubacz has served as Vice President for Finance and Administration since 2008. He has worked in various leadership and business positions at the university for nearly 20 years.

In his current position, Mr. Trubacz provides leadership for UA’s financial and administrative services departments in according with federal and state statutes, Board of Regents’ Policy, appropriate regulations and solid business practices.

Prior to accepting his current position, Mr. Trubacz served as the system’s Chief Financial Officer; was Interim Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services at UAF; Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Business Operations at UAF; and served as Executive Officer for UAF’s School of Engineering. He also was Director of Planning, Analysis and Institutional Research; and was Associate Budget Director for Statewide.

Mr. Trubacz holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

He is married and has three daughters and a son. An avid runner, Mr. Trubacz also coaches high school cross country running and track.
