Bruce Schultz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where he double majored in International Business and German. His Master of Arts degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education was conferred from Ball State University in 1992. He is currently completing his Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership with the University of La Verne.
Schultz joined UAA in 1992, leading students and staff in the department of residence life. In 1995, he joined the office of student affairs as the associate dean of students. He provides leadership to the director of residence life, student leadership coordinator, and the alcohol and drug education coordinator. He oversees university wide efforts in residence life, student judicial affairs, student leadership, and with federal mandate compliance. Schultz acts on behalf of and in the absence of the dean of students to oversee division of student affairs' programs including student health center, career services, disability support services, campus life, and residence life. He also serves as a level-1 member of the campus response team in responding to campus crisis, evaluating response protocols, and providing proactive training.
