Jeannie Phillips has lived in Alaska since 1967. She graduated from Wrangell High School in 1977 and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Kodiak Community College, receiving her Associate in Applied Science degree in Office Occupations in 1980. She has worked for the University of Alaska since 1981 and in the Board of Regents' Office since 1991. She has a special interest in the history of the university and enjoys collecting University of Alaska memorabilia.

Ms. Phillips is a director of Northern Schools Federal Credit Union, a member of the Board Professional Staff Council of the Association of Governing Boards, and is active in supporting her son's and daughter's soccer and hockey teams.
